#Pondering 1 Corinthians 15:20-22 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. see more
That phrase in Adam all die, means what it says, that once a person in born from the Adamic nature that person is born dead!
However, the phrase "so in Christ all shall be made alive" reveals the fact that it is ONLY as one is Born-Again in and through Jesus Christ that, that person is now MADE ALIVE!
So there are two categories of people upon the planet: the "living" dead, and the ALIVE - those who have made Jesus Christ their Saviour and Lord.
This is simple but oh so true. And my question to you is simply this: which group do you belong to? The "living" dead or the ALIVE group?
#Musing Been thinking on this phrase that many like myself have been using: "Sola Scriptura" and its basic interpretation as a hermeneutical principle of “letting Scripture interpret Scripture" or "Only Scripture." And the more I ponder see more on it the more I realise that many of us who use this term do not apply it. It is more often used as a means for others to agree with our reasoning or interpretation of Scripture...
This led me to the following position: regardless to what we think, this is how life is constructed and lived out - we get saved, filed with God's Holy Spirit and are then on a journey towards maturity. In the process we come to varying degrees of truth and revelation and it is our responsibility to pass this on to others. In doing so some would agree and some won't.
I like what the Apostle Paul said to his followers: 1 Corinthians 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. KJV
1 Corinthians 4:15-16 For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me. KJV
And Someone Needs To Hear This. Be Encouraged: James 1:2-4 "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing."
My Rhema Word For Today: Romans 8:16-17 "The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together."
#TheFearOfTheLord Proverbs 23:17-18 "Do not let your heart envy sinners, But be zealous for the fear of the Lord all the day; For surely there is a hereafter, And your hope will not be cut off." see more
There is surely life after death, and your fear of God today will ensure you enjoy your 'hereafter'... #justsaying #FearGod
#FearGod Proverbs 14:26-27 "In the fear of the Lord there is strong #confidence, And His children will have a place of refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, To turn one away from the snares of death."
Been reading this book "The Creation of Evil" by Dr. John Noe and it had me thinking:
#BeenThinking on The Power of God's Sovereignty - His absolute right to do all things according to His own good pleasure (Dan. 4:25, see more 35; Rom. 9:15-23;1 Tim. 6:15; Rev. 4:11).
When we understand God's Sovereignty it makes us want to live right and please Him. He has the Power and the ultimate Authority in ALL the universe. Even from the very beginning of time as we know it He established His Power and Authority. The Bible describes how God organised the earth, He created everything imaginable in six days and rested on the seventh.
On the third day, He created all plant and vegetation life as there was none before. He also established the Garden of Eden and in it He planted two very important trees: 1) The tree of Life, and 2) The tree of the knowledge of good and evil... Here is what it says in Genesis 2:8-9
"The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. 9 And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil."
This was the very first encounter that we have of evil in the earth and it was God who established it. He put the tree of the knowledge of good and EVIL right in the full view of Adam and commanded him to not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. He then declared that it was not good for man to be alone and created for him a helpmate called Eve and we all know what happened from there.
So from this we understand that evil was first placed into the creation by God Himself to test man. And this evil was placed there before satan revolted in Heaven and was cast down to earth. #Musing #GodIsSovereign #BeAtPeaceWithGod
