INSIGHT:
God does so much for us. He is the Strength and Promise that undergirds
see more our lives. He is the One who has saved us from sin and death. Our worship comes from our gratitude for what he has done, recognition of who he is, and anticipation of what he is going to do. Then private worship becomes the tuning time for our hearts and lives so that our public worship, our lives lived out in the world, will play the song of God to a world who has not yet heard his tune.
PRAYER:
O Holy and Almighty God, I want this day to be a day of worship and honor to you. May my life praise you: not just in thought, not just in words, but also in action. In the name Jesus I pray. Amen.

Insight
The Lord gave his people the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, but he promised to be with them, teach them, and guide them during hard times. God expects a lot from us, and many times following him can be painful; but he always acts out of his love for us.
Challenge
Next time you go through a difficult time, try to appreciate the experience and grow from it, learning what God wants to teach you. God may be showing you his love by patiently walking with you through adversity.

There’s an oft-repeated illustration about an old bookmark. On one side, it’s beautifully embroidered and says, “God is Love.” But on the other side, it’s just a mass of tangled threads. In order to embroider it on one side, you must have all those threads on the other. Now, some just look at it from the back side, and they see only the mess. They don’t know the ways of God and that God is love. But you see, our ways and God’s ways are so different. You’ll never have peace—that deep peace—until you understand the ways of God, because God’s ways are often confusing to human wisdom.

What issue in your life do you need to surrender to Him today? Confess: “I do not understand, O God, but I know you are faithful. You are trustworthy.”

Faith is what causes God to move. There are yesses in your future waiting for you to come looking for them.You could be one "yes" away from being thrust to a whole new level. Don't get stuck on a "no." Keep believing.amen

The presence of your problem doesn’t mean the absence of God. Believe that He is right there with you working things out for your good.In the midst of your storm, your loving Savior wants you to know that He wants to and He will help and bless you.

Love Your Enemies

MATTHEW 5:44 NKJ
44 "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse

spitefully use you and persecute you,

"Love your enemies? What kind of advice is that? How can you
have enemies, if you act in love toward them?"

Good point.

Why would anyone want to have enemies? Do you?

God's instructions, if acted upon, will make friends out of
enemies. Think how much better the world would be then.

God can, and does, love His enemies. He proved it. No matter
what they did to Jesus, He never quit walking in love.

But it may be impossible for a normal human to love their
enemies -- without God's help. Fortunately, God's help is
available!

No matter how hard it seems, you can love those who have hurt
you. If it was not possible, God would not command us to do it.
Of course, to be successful at it, we need to call on the Lord
and receive His help.

"But why should I love my enemies?" You should know it is the
best thing for you to do, just because God said it. It benefits
you as well as the one who wronged you.

You have two basic choices when someone does you wrong. Do
wrong back to them. Or, return good for evil.

If you fight back, then they will have a valid excuse to
continue mistreating you. Is that what you want? If not, then
the intelligent choice is to stop the vicious cycle by
returning good for evil. Love your enemies until they become
your friends.

SAY THIS: I can, and will, love everyone with God's help.
