John R. Rimestad interesting verses:) I read somewhere that there is a possibility that "falling away" here refers to the rapture... According to Thomas Ice this makes more sense in the context of the verses before and after. For more info: http://www.raptureready.com/featured/ice/TheRapturein2Thessalonians2_3.html
In the oldest English bibles (before kjv) that word was translated "departing" instead of "falling away". This supports the idea of the rapture of the church :)
