The only suffering that has not been paid for on the cross is the suffering for being a Christian, by the hands of unbelievers. That was Paul's thorn in the flesh. All other suffering is the result of our sin and the consequent condemnation we feel. These - latter - sufferings have been carried on the cross fully. When the word says,
see more we are as He is in this world, it is not figurative, it is literal. Jesus rose, because we were totally justified by His death.
While we are in Him in heaven, He is in us on this earth. The divine exchange is a mystery but absolutely true. There is no other way, that God's holy eyes can look at us and still consider us righteous, if it were not for this divine exchange. We were crucified with Him, nevertheless we live, yet not we, but Christ lives in us, and this life that we now live in the flesh, we live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved us and gave Himself for us (Gal 2:20). So now let's play this scenario out
We were crucified means we are dead. Now, that means, our spirit is dead and in it's place we have Christ's Spirit living in our body - the casing. This casing still has the mechanisms it learn't earlier embedded in the flesh and in the brain. The sooner we realize, that the Spirit of Christ living in this casing is more powerful than the casing itself, the faster we will experience the truth 'as He is so are we in this world'. The body and the mind may face attacks, but the truth is that Christ is the Victor, and those attacks will fall off like they never happened. We can decide to focus on the victor at all costs or we can decide to focus on the fiery darts that are being shot at us. Our focus decides whether, the fiery darts will bounce of our armor of righteousness, or penetrate our armor of our death consciousness. Wearing the armor of righteousness is the only work we have to do by faith.
It is like a policeman in a uniform. The uniform gives him power and immunity to stop anything unlawful. Anything unlawful that he has to face, which he does throughout the day, cannot stick to his armor/uniform. No matter, how rotten a man he is, his uniform gives him immunity. A Christian's armor of righteousness, is better than that of a policeman's of course. Our armor is from inside out, eternal, transforms us as we realize its potential to make us like Christ Himself - totally above sickness and death.
How can Christ who lives in us be manic depressive / or anything else that is death-like for that matter? If we are still suffering from the things that the world suffers, that only means that our revelation of the Christ in us is small - the size of a turtle-dove. It has to grow into a lamb-sized revelation, which then has to grow into a bullock-sized revelation and so on. This is not the function of spiritual maturity believe me rather our spiritual maturity is a function of our revelation, which in turn is a function of our speaking in tongues. Speaking in tongues is to walk in the Spirit

Leena Kapoor continuation of the above post:- the Spirit of Christ who lives in us. The more we speak in tongues - privately - the more our revelation and our focus on Christ. It is so subtle, automatic and involuntary, that it can only be God and not self at all. Praise be the Lord for this fantastic weapon, that brings all of the Lord's enemies and makes them His Footstool.

Something crazy happened to me last Sunday. I had a lot of pain in my abdomen. I prayed and the pain grew worse. I saw a doctor on Wednesday. After some tests I was diagnosed with an infection which was causing the pain and the bloating. I took the prescribed medicine and at the end of it the symptoms deteriorated, but did not leave.
